ABOUT
Lauriane
Traditional Acupuncture Practitioner
A path shaped by curiosity, people I’ve met and a few pretty unexpected turns.
Paris · Val-d’Oise · Goa

I didn’t start with acupuncture.
Preparatory classes, business school, a permanent job… For a long time, I followed what you might call a fairly “conventional” path, while always being the resident witch everyone loves in just about every circle I was part of!
I’m also lucky to have a mum who planted the travel seed early on for my brothers and me.
Add curiosity, a desire to explore and quite a bit of intuition. All of that led me to live and travel abroad for a few years.
And somewhere in the middle of all that, things began to shift.

THE PATH
Intuition, encounters…
and “coincidences”
I think my path has grown around two things: my intuition and the people I’ve met.
Practitioners, teachers, friends. People who sometimes arrived at exactly the moment I needed to hear, see or understand something.
Coincidences? I’m not so sure.
An Indian ceremony I came across almost by chance in Asia. A few weeks later, I was off to India.
What was meant to be a short stay in an ashram turned into several months.
Yoga became a daily practice after that. Then I became interested in energy work. Then in acupuncture.
One thing led to another — quite literally, this time — and I ended up learning a whole new language of the body and how it works.
And some of the people I met along the way still shape the way I think, learn and practise today.
Nothing works
in silos.
Body. Energy. Emotions. Environment.
IN MY PRACTICE
The kind of practitioner
I want to be
I think, at heart, I love people.
It may sound a little cheesy when I say it like that, but the idea of helping someone feel better, understand what they’re going through or simply feel heard gives me so much.
When I practise, I lose track of time. And I think that’s probably a good sign, right?
Really, I try to be the therapist I’d want sitting across from me.
Actually listening. For real. Not just waiting for my turn to speak, but listening actively, asking questions and trying to understand.
Non-judgemental. Approachable. Curious.
And humble enough to know that I’ll probably keep learning all my life.
I don’t want to apply a formula to someone.
I want to understand the person in front of me: the connections between what they feel, their story and their circumstances.

Why GAIA?
GAIA always felt obvious to me.
I care a lot about the symbolism behind things.
Naming the brand after Gaia, the primordial figure of the Earth in mythology, just made sense to me.
First of all: her power.
But also grounding, creation, the living world, cycles and the idea that nothing really exists on its own.
That is exactly what I want to build with GAIA.
Today, GAIA is taking shape around my current practices: Traditional Acupuncture, Pranic Healing and Aculift.
And tomorrow? I still have plenty of ideas.
One day, I’d love GAIA to become a space where different disciplines, different approaches and different people can actually work together.
GAIA creates spaces for reconnection.
